Drive more sales through Meal Deals

Your restaurant customers appreciate value. You cannot give it to them without breaking the bank? Offer them a bundle or a meal deal. You can make two or more menu items more appealing by bundling them together to make an attractive meal deal that will surely convince your customers for value

According to president and chief operating officer James Quincey, who shared this strategy as part of the company’s vision for future growth, building a portfolio of “consumer-centric brands” requires shifting focus from what the company really wants to sell to what consumers really want to buy.

Bundling Benefits You

You are helping your restaurant in several ways when you create meal bundles as a food and drink distributor. You make it simpler to prepare the meal, when you offer the bundled items. You know that on every Friday when you offer a bundled meal consisting of burgers, fries and a drink that is what most people will order. It makes life in the kitchen much easier.

Secondly, the bundling method is quite advantageous for you because you are putting menu items together and selling them for a slight discount. It may not seem like this benefits you, but it does because customers are spending more money than they normally would and more money overall.

Think about your pricing strategy at the same time as you start thinking about what items to bundle to create appealing deals for your customers. Keep your bundles quite simple, yet feel free to add menu items that your customer might not have ordered. This encourages them to try on something new, and of course, order more food.

Bundling Benefits the Customer

The customer also wins with the meal deal. They tastes something new and get to enjoy more food because you’ve bundled complementary items together. Moreover, they’re getting the bundled items for less than they would have paid if they’d ordered them individually.

How To Stay Profitable

Offering the meal bundle can help you stay ahead in a tight market. But it can be tricky if you cash in on it without hampering your bottom line.

The best way is to go for a very well-crafted and strategically priced meal deal. The NPD Group tells us that meal deals are huge way restaurants are increasing traffic.

You can cater to diners who are looking for a discount without having to lower your prices by offering strategic meal bundles. These bundles in turn drive larger orders that can enhance your profits.

Consumer is the king. He is looking for all those products that are more natural. At times with less sugar. Sometimes with more benefits.

Start with rethinking some of the company’s recipes to reduce sugar and investing to make the next generation of zero-calorie sweeteners while putting the consumer first. Without having to give up the great tastes they know and love, the primary goal is to give people the low and no-sugar drinks they want.

According to World Health Organization (W.H.O.), people should limit their intake of added sugar to no more than 10 percent of their total daily kilojoule/energy intake.

In your food outlet Coca-cola can help activate bespoke meal deals. About half of the population will drink at least one sugary beverage on any given day, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Young adults are the most regular consumers of these sugary drinks.

There are 37 grams (g) of sugar that is added in it, which is equal to almost 10 teaspoons (tsp), in a single can of cola. There is a growing trend of health-conscious individuals in the world. It has caused the food distributors to shift their focus on the healthy version of their products. Coke has come up with “Zero Calories” and “No sugar” options to cater the need of diet conscious customers.

With the addition of a drink to your meal items, it has been observed that there has been an increase in the sales. Coke is one item that is consumed by every household and to be more specific, nowadays “Diet Coke is consumed more because of health-conscious individuals.

Conclusion

Without sounding cheap the best part of the meal bundle is its ability to give a sense of value for money. While menu bundling (or fixed-price meal) is hardly new, it is increasing in popularity in today’s ultra-competitive restaurant marketplace as confirmed by a food and drinks supplier.

In the format of the fixed-price meal the five-star restaurants have been offering a form of bundling for years. It became the meal deal or Saturday special as the fixed-price meal made its way into casual dining and fast-food service. For increasing business and lifting sales, meal bundling has certainly proved a great marketing approach.
